Rock Hill Church

Church Center app guide

Church Center is Rock Hill in your pocket. Start with setup, then tap the tab for what you need to do.

Get started

Setup takes about two minutes, and there is no password to remember.

  1. 1

    Download the app

Search Church Center in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). It is free. Look for the Church Center App by Planning Center.

  2. 2

Open it and tap Get started

Tap Get started, then Continue. The app offers to use your location to show churches near you. Allow it, or skip it and search by name.

  3. 3

    Find Rock Hill Church

Choose Rock Hill Church from the list, or search for it (Rancho Cucamonga, CA). Then tap Log in.

  4. 4

    Enter your phone number

Type your mobile number and tap Next. Prefer email? Tap Use email address instead. There is no password to create.

Use the same number or email Rock Hill already has for you, from a connect card, a form or a registration. That connects you to your profile.

  5. 5

    Enter the six-digit code

A code arrives by text or email. Type it in and tap Next.

No code after a few minutes? Check your spam and blocked messages, wait five minutes before asking again, or choose the email option.

  6. 6

    Confirm your name

Make sure your name shows on the welcome screen, then tap Log in. You stay logged in unless you are away for 90 days.

Register for an event

Men's nights, conferences, kids events and more: sign up from your phone in a few taps.

  1. 1

    Find the event

Tap Sign ups (or Events) in the bottom menu and scroll to the event you want. Tap it to see the dates, place and cost before you start.

  2. 2

    Tap Register

If the app asks you to log in, use your phone number or email.

  3. 3

    Fill in each step

Each registration is a little different. You will choose who is coming, fill in their details and answer any questions. To register someone outside your household, tap Add a new person.

  4. 4

    Review and submit

If there is a cost, you can pay then. You will see a confirmation page and get a confirmation email. Both let you finish any forms, edit your answers or pay a remaining balance.

Can't register? The event may be closed or full. Email drew@rockhill.church and we will help.

Take attendance

For group leaders. It takes about a minute, and it is how we know how your group is doing. You can start one hour before your group meets.

  1. 1

    Open your group

Tap your profile picture or initials at the top of the app. Scroll to Activity & involvement and tap your group.

  2. 2

    Tap Take attendance

    Find it under Upcoming events.

  3. 3

    Tap each person who came

Tap every member's name who was there.

  4. 4

    Add visitors and notes (optional)

Tap Add member under New people to add someone new. Use the plus and minus buttons to count visitors, and tap Notes to jot down anything we should know, like a prayer need or a guest who would like a follow-up.

  5. 5

    Tap Submit

It is in the top right corner. That's it.

Forgot to take attendance?

Open your group, tap Events, then Actions and View past events. Find the event and tap Take attendance, or Update to fix one you already submitted. Then tap Done.

Let a co-leader or member take attendance

Open your group and tap Members, then tap the person. Turn on Can take attendance. It saves by itself.

If a request to join your group shows a "suspicious activity" or "high scam risk" banner, check who the person is before you approve them.

Confirm your serving

When a team asks you to serve, a quick answer helps your leader plan. You can accept or decline from your phone.

  1. 1

    Open your schedule

Got a reminder to accept a serving request? Open the Church Center app and tap your profile picture or initials at the top. Your scheduled plans and serving requests are on this page.

Prefer email? The request email from Planning Center has an accept link too. The app just keeps everything in one place.

  2. 2

    Find the request

Scroll to the Schedule section. Look for the date and position you were asked to serve.

  3. 3

    Tap Accept or Decline

Tap Accept to confirm you will be there. If you can't make it, tap Decline and add a short reason so your leader knows.

  4. 4

    Plans changed?

You can switch an accepted spot to a decline later from your schedule. To go the other way and accept something you declined, message your team leader and ask them to put you back on.

Away for a week or two?

In your schedule, tap Actions to add blockout dates so teams don't ask you for days you can't serve. The same menu lets you email your team leader.

Finding a replacement

If your team allows it, declining lets you pick a replacement from your team. Check with that person first: choosing them confirms them for that day right away.
